e.g.:
The fixed diameter of the polarization controller fiber ring is 56mm, and the single-mode fiber with a cladding diameter of 125µm is wound in it;
When λ=1550nm, and the number of loops loop=1, the ring is equivalent to a λ/2 wave plate;
When λ=1550nm, when the number of loops loop=3, the loop is equivalent to a 3λ/2 wave plate.
Take the use of 900um fiber and working wavelength of 1550nm as an example
Remove rubber stoppers A, B and C;
Tighten screws 1, 2, 3 and 4;
Loosen screws 5 and 6.

Rotate the controller wave plates A, B and C to the front, as shown in Figure 2 and Figure 3

Handle a length of single-mode fiber at least 1 meter long (do not twist);
Put one end of the optical fiber on the stopper A, press the stopper A, and tighten the screw 6;
Place the fiber in the groove of the wave plate, and wrap the ¼ wave plate fiber twice in the groove of the wave plate, taking care to ensure that the fiber cannot be twisted. Put the rubber stopper back to its original position.

Place the optical fiber in the wave plate slot, and for ½ waveplate, wrap the optical fiber in the wave plate slot 4 times to ensure that the optical fiber is not twisted and the rubber stopper is put back in its original position.

Place the fiber in the wave plate groove and wrap the ¼ wave plate fiber twice in the wave plate groove, making sure the fiber is not twisted and the rubber stopper is put back in place.

Place the optical fiber on the stopper B, press the stopper B, and tighten the screw 5
